I have been on a cookie kick lately. As kind of an "end of summer" cookie for my nephew, before he was heading back to school, I made him some cookies ... he has always loved spongebob and he is currently obsessed with NinjaGo. Jay, or as I call him "the blue one," was his favorite. I think Patrick may have been my favorite. Just something about a starfish wearing pants that I find adorable.
The next set of cookies are actually from my July 4th trip to Texas. While I was on vacation, I was lucky enough to visit two different friends. These flowers and hearts were for two little girls who just welcomed home their baby brother. I made them at the same time as the 4th of July cookies. I love that the bright colors and black outlining work for something as girly as hearts and flowers as well as fireworks!
And finally, these cookies are actually from a long time ago but I've never gotten around to posting them before. The pictures do not do the cookies justice. The little lambs are still some of my favorite cookies I've ever made. The cookies were for a family gathering after my friend's baby girl's christening (that's a lot apostrophes in one sentence). I made lambs, crosses, and small cookies in opposite colors with crosses and the letter C (for Corrine) to go in the same bag. I think the result was very sweet and fitting for a christening.
